Why this matters

Policy shapes practice.

The same parents who come to me confused and frightened are the ones most affected by bills that rush assessment, redefine acceptable care, or treat exploratory therapy as suspect.

When I testify, I am not there as an activist. I am there as a clinician with 25 years of experience, asking lawmakers to write policy that matches reality, not ideology.
